A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans

Rei Hitoma is a former teacher who, due to past trauma, has developed a profound misanthropy and aversion to humans. After two years of inactivity, he decides to accept a new position at a remote school, surrounded by nature, hoping to find a peaceful existence away from others. But his first day on the job takes him by surprise: he meets a student with animal ears! He discovers that the school he has landed at doesn't house ordinary students, but "demihumans," beings who aren't quite human but who yearn to become human. From this premise, a strange situation arises: a man who despises humanity finds himself teaching others... what "humanity" means.
