Chainsmoker Cat

In a modern Japan where humans and neko (humanoid beings with feline features) coexist, lives Yaniko Satō, a far from ordinary catgirl: lazy, disorganized, unable to manage her own life... and severely addicted to cigarettes. Yaniko can't help but smoke, so much so that her apartment reeks of smoke, is full of cigarette butts and trash, and every time she tries to quit, she falls victim to her enormous cravings. Her money goes almost entirely to buying new cigarettes, and when she can't afford them, she begins scavenging cigarette butts on the street or reusing them to satisfy her nicotine cravings. Constantly behind on her rent and unable to hold down a job, Yaniko often finds herself in absurd and grotesque situations. Her sister, friends, and neighbors try to help her as she gets into trouble after trouble, dealing with small daily dramas with irony and disorder.
