Infinite Ryvius

Ryuuji Aiba and his fellow astronaut cadets are just trying to survive their routine training aboard a space station when disaster strikes. Saboteurs plunge the station into the Sun, forcing 487 young trainees to evacuate into a mysterious, highly advanced spacecraft called the Ryvius. With no adults left alive to guide them, Ryuuji and the crew must figure out how to steer the ship to safety while constantly under attack by unknown military forces.

This classic late-90s sci-fi thriller is effectively Lord of the Flies trapped in deep space. The tone is deeply psychological, tense, and raw, shifting focus away from shiny space battles to explore the fragile politics, panic, and power struggles that erupt among terrified teenagers left to govern themselves. If you appreciate gritty character dramas, realistic sociopolitical friction, and tension that builds with every episode, Infinite Ryvius offers an intense, unforgettable psychological ride.
