Japan is buzzing with excitement over the release of a brand-new 10,000-yen banknote featuring the iconic Touto Tower. Catching the wave of national interest, Conan Edogawa, the Junior Detective League, and their usual companions take an educational tour of the Japan Banknote Printing Bureau's Nagano factory. However, the lighthearted trip is quickly overshadowed by a sinister development back in Tokyo.

When police discover pristine counterfeit bills at the scene of a fresh murder, a high-profile investigation is immediately launched. Forged versions of the newly minted currency soon begin flooding the market, sparking widespread public panic and threatening to throw the economy into chaos.
